Diana Cohen


Violinist Diana Cohen has built a distinguished career as a concertmaster, chamber musician, soloist, and arts administrator — earning praise for her "incredible flair, maturity and insight." She has held concertmaster positions with several orchestras, including the Richmond Symphony, Kalamazoo Symphony, Charleston Symphony, and others, and appeared as a substitute with the New York Philharmonic and The Cleveland Orchestra.

A founding member of the piano trio Trio Terzetto, Cohen has toured and recorded extensively throughout the United States and Canada, appearing on chamber music series in cities including New York, Cleveland, Memphis, and Charleston. Her festival credits include Marlboro, the Steans Institute at Ravinia, the Chamber Music Festival of Giverny, the Perlman Chamber Music Program, and Aspen, among others. She has collaborated with members of the Guarneri, Juilliard, Cleveland, Miro, and Parker Quartets, as well as celebrated artists such as Mitsuko Uchida, Kim Kashkashian, and Garrick Ohlsson.

Cohen is Executive and Co-Artistic Director of ChamberFest Cleveland, a festival that brings together some of the world's most sought-after chamber musicians. She is an honors graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she received the 2000 Jerome Gross Prize in violin and won the Darius Milhaud Competition.

In addition to performing, Cohen is a dedicated educator whose students have earned national recognition, and she has worked extensively in public schools and at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
