Michigan native and bassoonist Arleigh Savage holds degrees from Michigan State University and the Cleveland Institute of Music. She is the principal bassoonist in the Cleveland Opera Theater, and the second bassoonist for the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra and Lancaster Summer Music Festival. Locally, she collaborates with guitar and cello in the folk/jazz trio, Cellocentric, and is co-founder of Cleveland’s premiere woodwind quintet, The North Coast Winds.
A dedicated and passionate educator Ms. Savage is Adjunct Instructor of Bassoon at The College of Wooster and frequently collaborates with notable artistic institutions including the Cleveland International Piano Competition, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Music Settlement, and Arts Renaissance Tremont as performing artist and program creator, as well as co-directing the North Coast Winds annual summer chamber music camp.
CityMusic Cleveland is a professional chamber orchestra that performs free concerts throughout Northeast Ohio,often accompanied by exhibits of local artwork.
Since exploding onto the scene in 2004, CityMusic Cleveland has won cheering audiences with beautiful music, brilliantly performed in familiar neighborhood settings.
