Alexandra McGuire

Alexandra McGuire is a professional flutist and educator based in Northeast Ohio. She made her solo debut with the Jacksonville Symphony in 2016 and was later featured as a soloist with the First Coast Wind Symphony after winning their Young Artist Competition in 2017.

Alexandra earned her Master’s degree in Flute Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied under Mary Kay Fink, Jessica Sindell, and Joshua Smith. As an undergraduate, she pursued studies in flute performance and eurhythmics and was named CIM’s Presser Scholar in recognition of her excellence.

While performing with the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, her piccolo playing was praised by ClevelandClassical.com as “controlled and pitch perfect.” Her performance on flute received acclaim from CoolCleveland.com, which noted: “The flute solo in Daphnis is infamous for its difficulty. The CIM Orchestra’s solo flautist rose to the occasion beautifully.”
