Schumann Symphony No. 3 “Rhenish”

In the opening concert of our 14th season, CityMusic welcomes the great composer, John Corigliano, to celebrate his 80th birthday.  In celebration, we feature audience-favorite Tessa Lark, whom Corigliano himself describes as a “dynamite violinist” to perform Corigliano’s “The Red Violin,” the concerto based on the Oscar-award winning score to the film of the same name.  The concert also features two works by Robert Schumann, including his masterwork third symphony.
