Rossini L’italiana in Algeri Overture
Strauss Oboe Concerto in D Major
Mozart Symphony No. 39 in E Major K543

Music by Giaochino Rossini and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart frames the program — the sensuous overture to L’italiana in Algerie, and the Symphony No. 39, one of Mozart’s most richly scored creations, described by one commentator as “the most purely joyous utterance in musical literature.”
