CityMusic’s season-opening program brings together Johannes Brahms’ Double Concerto for Violin and Cello, the last of his masterful works for orchestra, performed by internationally renowned soloists Tessa Lark and Edward Arron, and the sunny Symphony No. 2, which the composer himself said “sounded so merry and tender it was as though it were especially written for a newly wedded couple.”
