Violinist Karin Harrell plays with several symphony orchestras throughout the country. These include the Columbus symphony, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, Akron symphony, and Canton symphony, among others. Besides her engagements in symphony orchestras she also enjoys performing in smaller ensembles, chamber concerts, jazz, live bands, country bands , and rock concerts. While growing up she won several prizes and competitions which resulted in solo performances with orchestras including the Columbus symphony and the Casals Festival orchestra among others. Ms Harrell was a participant at The Casals Music Festival, the Texas Music Festival, Kent/Blossom music festival, and National Repertory Orchestra. She graduated with both a Bachelors and Masters of music from The Cleveland Institute of Music. While there she studied with David Updegraff and William Preucil.
CityMusic Cleveland is a professional chamber orchestra that performs free concerts throughout Northeast Ohio,often accompanied by exhibits of local artwork.
Since exploding onto the scene in 2004, CityMusic Cleveland has won cheering audiences with beautiful music, brilliantly performed in familiar neighborhood settings.
