Born in Bogota-Colombia, Irene Guerra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance of the Distrital University of Bogota, where she studied with Gina Alvarez and Camilo Guevara.
Irene has performed with several orchestras including Filarmónica Joven de Colombia, Sinfónica de Caldas as principal second violin, FOSBO, Nueva Filarmonía, Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Colombia and CityMusic Cleveland. Irene is second violin of Efferus String Quartet. They have been coached by Miami String Quartet, Arianna String Quartet, Avalon String Quartet and Cuarteto Latinoamericano. She is in her first year of master’s studies in chamber music performance with Efferus Quartet at Kent State University under the tutelageof Cathy Meng Robinson, Amy Lee and Keith Robinson.
CityMusic Cleveland is a professional chamber orchestra that performs free concerts throughout Northeast Ohio,often accompanied by exhibits of local artwork.
Since exploding onto the scene in 2004, CityMusic Cleveland has won cheering audiences with beautiful music, brilliantly performed in familiar neighborhood settings.
