Dianna Joiner

Dianna Joiner is a native of Greenville, South Carolina. She started violin lessons at the age of five with her mother and continued with her father through high school. She received a Bachelor of Music from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and recently completed a Professional Studies Diploma at the Cleveland Institute of Music with William Preucil. During her studies she served as concertmaster of the University of Texas Symphony Orchestra as well as the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra. She attended numerous summer festivals including Round Top Festival Institute, Brevard Music Center, Colorado College Summer Music Festival, Vermont Mozart Festival, and was a member of the Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra for three years.
Dianna joined the Akron Symphony in 2016 and also plays with the Canton Symphony and Erie Philharmonic. She served as guest concertmaster of the Ashland Symphony during the 2016-2017 season. She has played chamber music with members of the Miami String Quartet and the Cleveland Orchestra, and is a guest soloist with the Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra. Dianna is also an active member of Classical Revolution Cleveland, a nonprofit providing all types of music in non-traditional venues. Starting in 2017, she joined the violin faculty at the Aurora School of Music in Aurora, OH.
