Born in Brasov-Romania, Diana Pepelea began studying the violin under the guidance of her father and won her first National Music Competition at the age of eight. While attending the Arts Academy in Brasov, Diana won numerous national and international music competitions all over Romania. Since 1994, she has toured and given recitals all over Europe and the United States, recorded for the National Radio in Bucharest, and appeared in televised performances. She also performed as a soloist on multiple occasions with the Brasov Philharmonic, as well as with the Arts Academy Orchestra (Brasov-Romania).
In 1999 Diana attended the Interlochen Arts Academy on a full scholarship, where she completed her high school education. She received her Bachelor’s degree in 2006 from the Cleveland Institute of Music, as a student of David Updegraff, and recently completed her Master’s degree at Carnegie Mellon University, as a student of Andres Cardenes. Diana is currently a member of the Canton Symphony, Opera Cleveland and the Key West Symphony.
CityMusic Cleveland is a professional chamber orchestra that performs free concerts throughout Northeast Ohio,often accompanied by exhibits of local artwork.
Since exploding onto the scene in 2004, CityMusic Cleveland has won cheering audiences with beautiful music, brilliantly performed in familiar neighborhood settings.
