Violinist Catherine Cosbey started her violin studies at the age of three in Regina, Saskatchewan. Since then, Catherine has graced the performing stage with such artists as Erika Raum, Geoff Nuttall, Barry Shiffman, Kai Gleusteen, and Alicia Weilerstein. She has studied with Eduard Minevich and Erika Raum. Most recently, Catherine completed her Master's of Music degree at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Paul Kantor. She continued her studies with Mr. Kantor this summer at the Aspen Festival of Music. In previous summers, Catherine has been privileged to participate in the Banff Chamber and Summer Music Sessions, the St. Lawrence String Quartet Seminar, the Domaine Forget Chamber Music program, and the Orford Centre D'Arts program. Catherine continues the contribution to orchestras she began at the age fourteen in the Regina Symphony Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada.
